Did you know that many of our youngest students miss 10% of the school year, or about 18 days? Kindergarten classes often have absenteeism rates as high as those in high school. While some of these absences are excused, they still add up to lost time in the classroom.
If children don’t show up for school regularly, they miss out on fundamental reading and math skills and the chance to feel a sense of belonging with their teachers and classmates.

Our first Science Thursday was fantastic!! Students got to go inside the giant whale, compare and contrast squid and octopus, see how baleen works, create an under the sea art project and more!
